Razed Roof is an inclusive company of creative and performers with learning difficulties and disabilities, led by an experienced and highly-qualified team of teachers and facilitators: all with enhanced DBS clearance.
Sue Dacre’s career began touring with Clifford Heap’s Marionette Theatre; in later years she performed at the Puppet Theatre Barge and Little Angel Theatre. Sue trained with members of the team behind the legendary TV series, Thunderball, when she worked on Cloppa Castle. Other TV credits include Wizadora and Spitting Image. Sue was part of the puppeteer team on Jack Pumpkinhead in ‘Return to Oz’; Ludo in David Bowie’s ‘Labyrinth’; and Dog in ‘Living with Dinosaurs’. She also worked on ‘Muppet Christmas Carol’ and ‘Muppets Most Wanted’. More recently, Sue directed Puppet Movement for ‘Storm Whale’. Introduced to Razed Roof in 2008, Sue was immediately captivated by their creativity and enthusiasm and they have been collaborating ever-since.
Keith Frederick has made, performed, and collected marionettes since he was a child. Professionally, he has journeyed from working in the fashion industry with some of the greats, including Galliano, to making costumes for puppets. In 2008 he joined The Little Angel Theatre as a volunteer; four years later he became a full-time puppet and costume maker. His first professional puppets made their debut in ‘Dogs don’t do Ballet’ at The Little Angel. Keith's many theatre credits include ‘Wow said the Owl’ (Little Angel) ‘A Monster In My Show’ (MEI Entertainment) and ‘The Storm Whale’ (York Theatre Royal). Film credits include ‘A Quiet Place Day One’ (Little Falls Productions). Recently, when Keith exhibited his work at the Artworkers Guild, he met members of Razed Roof. He was so inspired by their engagement and enthusiasm that he was thrilled when asked to take part in this event.
