An intriguing evening talk for adults and interested young people

Ticket £10 (+ small fee to cover processing charge for Parndon Mill). Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. 

The amazing puppeteer Ronnie Le Drew will be giving a talk to enlighten and entertain, with anecdotes about his life in film and television… and his role as the  iconic ‘Zippy’ from children’s TV programme ‘Rainbow’. 

With his vast experience with  marionettes and all types of puppets at the ‘Little Angel Theatre’ in Islington, and his  involvement in many films, Ronnie is a leading expert in the world of puppetry.

Ronnie’s book ‘Zippy and Me’ will be on sale… with a personal signing.

  • Ronnie Le Drew started his professional career at the Little Angel Theatre in London, where he learnt how to manipulate puppets of all kinds, and is now an honorary associate of the theatre. Alongside his iconic role as 'Zippy' from Rainbow, his other TV work includes the Sooty show...performing with Harry and Matthew Corbett; and many TV commercials. His film work includes David Bowie’s ‘Labyrinth’, ‘Little Shop of Horrors’; ‘Muppet Christmas Carol’; ‘Muppet Treasure Island’; Disney's ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘Pinocchio’ and more…. He teaches and lectures about his craft at The Little Angel Theatre, The Norwich Puppet Theatre and the Curious School of Puppetry. His biography "Zippy and Me" was published in 2019.

  • Parndon Mill is a perfect environment for these creative sessions. It is a calm and beautiful place: an old river mill situated on the River Stort which has become a dynamic hub of creativity.
