Our current exhibition, “ Joining Hands Across Continents “ 8th March - 19th April , is commemorating the centenary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II, our most travelled monarch who extended the hand of friendship to so many people across the world.
In conjunction with this exhibition the gallery is launching our “Give us a hand, or paw” community collage project.
We are inviting individuals, schools or groups to make us a decorated hand or paw, (we get lots of doggy visitors to the gallery,) using thick paper or card to be included into the collage.
It is acceptable to write a message of friendship on the hands.
The collage will be displayed here at our community day to be held on 19th April.
We need the hands to be delivered to the Gallery by 9th April to give time for the collage to be assembled.
We would like as many people of all ages to take part. Looking forward to seeing your offerings.
The community day on the 19th April will be non ticket, free entry.
There will be tea/coffee and cake and entertainment.
More details to follow. Do please put the date in your diary.
